Students at Coleg Ceredigion have once again shown how dedication and hard work pays off with many achieving the A level results they required. The months of hard work paid dividend with many now planning to pursue higher education courses at their chosen Universities and Colleges.

Overall, 93% of students achieved the A Level passmark whilst results across a number of subjects saw the percentage of students achieving coveted A-C grades surpassing the national average of 77.3%. An impressive 83% of students studying A Level Photography for example achieved A-C grades, whilst 78% of those studying A Level English also achieved the top A-C grades.

One of the more notable individual successes this year included Jade McKellar, from Cwmann near Lampeter, who gained a highly commendable 4 A-levels at A grade successfully securing a place to study Law at the University of Southampton.

A number of students will be taking advantage of the progression routes available as a result of the college’s membership of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David group by going on to study a degree course at one of UWTSD’s campuses at Swansea, Carmarthen and Lampeter.
