The Penrallt Country House Hotel is thrilled to announce August re-opening.

The historic hotel is set to re-open on August 20 having been restored to its former glory.

Originally built in 1649, The Penrallt Hotel boasts a wealth of history behind its grand doors. In keeping with the building’s remarkable grace and charm, the hotel has undergone a ‘fresh feel’ refurbishment in preparation for its re-launch. Stain glass windows remain in the grand entrance, as wood-panelled walls continue to line the dining room.

Samantha Scholes, iHotel Management Team, comments: “We feel very passionately about restoring and nurturing the historic aspects of the hotel. The history dates back as far as the 1600’s and at one point the property was even a school. There’s a fantastic story behind it.”

The converted Edwardian Mansion, which is now under new ownership, will continue to host two restaurants which will also open on the August 20 with a new chef offering superb menu tastes.

The leisure centre, comprising of an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, gym facilities and a beauty salon, is undergoing a more extensive refurbishment and will re-open later this year.

The exciting acquisition will lead to 15 immediate full-time positions in the town including chefs, grounds maintenance, bar staff and housekeeping.

Samantha Scholes adds: “It’s such an exciting acquisition for us and for the town of Aberporth. Not only are we able to offer new job opportunities, we would love to invite the local people to come and dine with us and enjoy lazy weekends.”
