Span Arts is holding a family friendly outdoor event at Colby Woodland Garden.
Bring your teddies along to the event for a picnic on Thursday, July 30.
Travel through Colby’s beautiful woodlands back to a time when bears roamed the land.
Learn how to live like a bear: making mossy dens, finding out which plants are edible or poisonous, fishing like a bear; and track down the keeper of the bears’ secrets and hear stories from that mythical time.
Span Arts’ outdoor events aim to engage a younger audience of all ages and abilities, whilst learning and having fun doing it.
Set in a tranquil valley the Colby Woodland Gardens is rich with hidden industrial past and is full of surprises.
Enjoy shady woodland walks, the wildflower meadow and colourful walled garden in the summer sunshine whilst on the trail of the bears.
Explore the meadow with its lovely stream, stepping stones, log bridge and abundant dragonflies and butterflies in a beautiful setting whilst the children are taken on a magical adventure this summer holidays.
Suitable for ages 4+. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Ticket provides free entry into Colby Woodland Gardens.
To book a place contact Span Arts on 01834 869323 or at span-arts.org.uk. This event will run at 10am and 2pm
