Theatr Mwldan’s series of annual outdoor theatre events with Illyria continues at Cardigan Castle this summer and we have fun, mayhem and huge amounts of water in store with The Sorcerer’s Apprentice.
The performance can be seen on Sunday, August 2 at 5.30pm.
The original boy-wizard story, most famously told in Disney’s Fantasia, with Mickey Mouse. Bored of his chores, the apprentice waves his wand and a broom magically fetches water. But he can’t find a spell to stop it. In desperation he saws it in half - and everything spirals out of control.
This show features breathtaking magical illusions, non-stop laughter and more water then you have ever seen in a play before.
There’s a spectacular set from the designer of George’s Marvellous Medicine, amazing effects from the scenic builders of The Twits, the original music by Paul Dukas (as used in Fantasia) - and eye-popping magical illusions designed by the world famous illusionist Paul Daniels.
It is exciting, magical family fun for all ages 5+.
Tickets for The Sorcerer’s Apprentice on Sunday, August 2 at Cardigan Castle are £13 (£11) £9 Children and are available to book from Theatr Mwldan’s Box Office on 01239 621200, online or via smart phone at www.mwldan.co.uk
