The annual Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival is back again this year.

The event was first established in 1997 by a group of local fishermen; the aim being to the world about the quality of seafood that could be caught off the the shores of the Welsh coastline.

Eighteen years on, the festival is now organised by Menna Heulyn, the owner of The Harbourmaster, a boutique hotel perched almost right at the end of the Aberaeron harbour.

The event will take place on Sunday, July 5 and is free to enter.

Widely regarded by foodies-in-the-know as one of the year’s most picturesque food festivals.

This year is the first time that the one-day festival will pull together four Michelin-starred chefs. These are: Hywel Jones from Lucknam Park Hotel and Spa in Wiltshire, Bryan Webb, from Tyddyn Llan, Roger Jones from The Harrow at Little Bedwyn and Gareth Ward from Ynyshir in Machynlleth.

Numerous other chefs will be taking part, including Will Holland from Coast, Saundersfoot and The Harbourmaster’s own Ludo Dieumegard.

Chefs will demonstrate their skills close up on their stoves, offering festival goers a unique opportunity to watch their favourite chefs in action and, more importantly, taste the results.
