Pembrokeshire County Council is reducing the opening hours of its telephone contact centre from today (Monday).

A recent study shows that more than 95% of customers call between the hours of 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Therefore, from today the centre will be open at these times and no longer from 8am until 6pm.

The council said the move was to “ensure staff are available to take calls at the busiest times of the day.”

Customers with emergencies will still be able to contact the council on the emergency telephone number when the telephone contact centre is closed.
