January 10, 2001 10:33: A 25-year-old Croydon man was treated for a broken leg at Mayday Hospital on New Years Eve after he was pushed in front of a moving car.
The man was operated on for the injury after he was taken from the scene of the accident which happened at 8.50pm on Morland Road, Croydon, 100 yards from Cherry Orchard Road. Police have appealed for the driver who waited with the victim until the ambulance arrived to come forward, as he had left the scene by the time police arrived.
