Local magistrates have adjourned a case involving an allegation of fraud by false representation in Newcastle Emlyn.
Richard Medway, aged 30, of 15 Reed Drive, Castleview, Stafford, did not enter a plea when he appeared at Aberystwyth Justice Centre on Wednesday.
He is accused of failing to disclose an increase in wages to Ceredigion County Council, between October 10, 2012 and June 2, 2014, intending to make a gain of benefit payments for himself.
Magistrates adjourned the case until February 4, and Medway was realised on unconditional bail until the next hearing.
