Having won her class at HOYS (Horse of the Year Show) in Birmingham in October, India Latter of Llangeler has just returned from Olympia – the London International Horse Show with the Best of Breed accolade and a fifth in the overall Championship.

Riding her Section A stallion Powys Sprite, India competed in a mixed class of Section A ponies, Section B’s, Dartmoors, Exmoors and a Shetland (whose sire, Womble of Crafton) was bred in Tanygroes near Cardigan by the Jackson family).

The preliminary round of judging the BSPS Heritage Ridden Mountain and Moorland Ridden Championship commenced early Monday morning, with the final result being announced in the afternoon in front of an 8,000 crowd!

‘ Well I couldn't be prouder of my little pony of a lifetime! Best of Breed and fifth overall at Olympia....Wahooo!’ said a delighted India who looks at 2014 as one of her best years yet in the show ring.

She added: ‘ We've had a tremendous year and I could not have wished it to end in a better way. Olympia really is a magical show and it's quite surreal to be walking through the middle of London in your riding gear carrying a saddle and bridle, I think that's what makes it so special though and being so close to Christmas everyone gets into the festive spirit! We're looking forward to a little rest over Christmas and I'm pretty certain that there are no gifts that could be better than the year that I've had!’
