Tributes were paid to a retiring Ceredigion magistrate last week.

Rev Peter Thomas sat on the bench at Aberystwyth court house for the last time on Wednesday.

Presiding magistrate Betty Griffiths said: “He has served with dignity and dedication. It was always a pleasure to sit with him.”

Solicitors and court staff thanked Rev Thomas for his support and wished him well in his retirement.
