The ancient church at Manordeifi will open its doors to host a special Christmas pageant on December 21.

The church is on the list of the top 100 churches in Wales, and is open to visitors each day, who admire its box pews and fireplaces.

On a couple of occasions each year the local churches hold a service there, to offer a chance to experience what it was like to attend a service hundreds of years ago.

The last event of this kind this year will be held on Sunday, December 21 at 4 pm when there will be the popular Christmas Pageant telling the story of the Nativity.

Everyone is welcome, but torches are needed as is no electricity at the church to read the words of the carols.

To get to the church from the A484 Cardigan to Newcastle Emlyn road, cross Llechryd bridge and immediately turn left on to the Canal Road opposite the entrance to Hammett House. The church is on the left about a mile from the bridge.
