Past and present pupils from Ysgol Eglwyswrw attended a very special 'Oscar' style award ceremony to celebrate their work in film and live performances. 'The Wrws' ceremony, with red carpet, popcorn and mini Oscars presented to the stars of the night, was a night to showcase 3 films created by staff and pupils from the school. The evening was completed with the current Year 6 pupils performing their 'live' performance of William Shakespeare's 'Macbeth'.
'Considering this was the first Oscar Night that the school had organised, the past and present pupils, their parents, the staff and the Governors of the school made it extra special by dressing in formal dress code to enjoy the evening's entertainment' mentioned; Mr T. Davies, Acting Headteacher. 'The feedback for the evening was so positive that we will certainly make it an annual event with even more projects being showcased' Mr Davies added.
