A bridge club from Llechryd, “Teaching Bridge over the River Teifi,” has donated £392 towards the Cardigan Castle fund.

Gwenllian Evans, Volunteer Coordinator at the Castle, received the cheque last week. She said, “We are very grateful to the bridge club for donating to the Castle fund once again this year. Over the last three years the club’s continuous support has raised over £1000 in aid of the Castle.”

The cheque was presented by Mary Hugh, Chairperson of the group, at the club’s fourth annual Christmas competition and lunch held at the Cliff Hotel. Thirty six club members attended the event and the winners were Sue Hinchley and Jean Dunham.

The club is made up of members from Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. The group meets at the Coracle Hall in Llechryd most Mondays except for Easter, Christmas, New Year and Bank Holidays.
