Ceredigion’s Welsh Liberal Democrat MP Mark Williams has met with residents of Gloster Row in Cardigan, to lend support to their campaign to have car park charges lifted in the Gloster Row car park.

Commenting following the meeting, Mark Williams said,

‘I heard directly from local residents about the huge inconvenience and anxiety the new charges have caused them. They legitimately feel very aggrieved that they should be expected to pay for an annual ticket to park next to their homes, simply because they live next to a car park which they have previous been able to use for free. To add insult to injury, as I saw when I visited the car park with the residents, it was hardly being utilised to the full, and in fact was almost empty. All the residents are asking it that a maximum of 6 bays be made available, and they understand that this is the case in other car parks across the county.’
