Police found a Class A drug in a baby’s bottle when they searched a Llandysul house, a court has heard.

Bruce Jonathan Guy Lisle-Fenwick, aged 49 of 53 The Beeches, Llandysul, pleaded guilty to possession of Heroin when he appeared before Aberystwyth magistrates on Wednesday.

Nick Newton, prosecuting, told the court that police executing a search warrant at the defendant’s home on June 8 found a foil square with traces of Heroin, and a baby’s bottle containing a cellophane wrap with four grams of the Class A drug.

In interview Lisle-Fenwick admitted possession of the items, and told police he used the drug for pain relief.

Katy Hanson, defending, said the weight and £320 estimated street value of the drug was disputed, as her client claimed to have paid £120 for it.

She added that he suffered from a number of medical conditions.

The court heard that Lisle-Fenwick had been in severe pain and was ‘extremely unwell’, with an increase in medication leading to memory problems.

Miss Hanson added: “He realises that possession of the drug was wrong, and there are better ways of dealing with the issues he has.”

Magistrates had issued a warrant for Lisle-Fenwick after he failed to attend a court hearing the previous week.

Lisle-Fenwick admitted the charge and was fined £40 for failing to surrender.

He was also fined £110 for possession of the drug, and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £20 victim surcharge.

A destruction order was made for the seized drug.
