The Vic North Cookery School is a finalist in the British Cookery Schools Awards, due to take place in London on Monday 17th November. The cookery school is based in Cardigan Bay and offers a wide range of inspiring residential and one day workshops. The school has a team of tutors and chefs with a wide range of experience and expertise both in the trade and as teachers and was established in 2013 by local baker and food entrepreneur, Vicky North.
“This award means a huge amount for the cookery school as it really puts us on the map as a main contender in the national cookery school business. We are keen to champion local food and producers and are on a mission to encourage people to cook from scratch.”
Vicky firmly believes that cooking and baking real food from scratch is a recipe for healthy living on a myriad of levels.
“Food prepared by a person with love and thought is always going to be far better for you than anything processed by a machine. Interaction, relationships, seasonality and taste all come into play in the craft of making food. I strive to inspire people to enjoy their kitchens, try something new and bring love and life to the people around them. Live, cook and bake with passion – a good formula for life.”
