The Strictly Social Dance Party invites you to another night of dance celebration in Small World Theatre, Cardigan on Saturday 11th October.
BACALAO, herald from Brighton & bring their colourful energetic mix of classic Salsa, Son, Cumbia, Plena and Bomba. Severn strong, they are acknowledged as one of the UK’s premier salsa big bands. They have developed their pulsating show to deliver a rich authentic sound & spectacle, drawing inspiration from the Cuban and Puerto Rican dance bands of the 50s, 60s and onwards.
No less exciting will be a Flamenco performance from Dixey Ruscelli, a wonderful dancer & choreographer who lives near Llandysul and has been immersed in this captivating dance form for over 25 years. Accompanied by classically trained Flamenco guitarist Hagen Kiersch, from Aberystwyth, they will give a special presentation and class as part of the Festivâl.
All are welcome & those new to dance are easily included in basic fun party dance routines & the fabulous Cuban circle dance of Rueda.
The theme of the night celebrates the Autumnal harvest & guests are encouraged to bring a dish for the buffet table.
Bar and doors open from 7pm.
