New Quay inshore lifeboat launched to a report of a man missing between New Quay Head and Cwmtydu on Sunday afternoon.
responded to a call out from the Coastguard on Sunday, 21st September at 5.18pm to search for a man
Crewed by some of the youngest members of the team, with Peter Yates at the helm with brothers Tom Evans and Michael Evans, a the lifeboat began a thorough search of the shoreline at 5.18pm, concentrating on an area off Castell Bach, north of Cwmtydu.
No sighting was made and the lifeboat was stood down shortly after 7pm. The call was later recorded as a false alarm with good intent.
Lifeboat Operations Manager Roger Couch thanked his young crew for their timely response and rapid launch.
