A teenage fisherman has realised his dream of fishing on the River Teifi, after recovering from major surgery.
Keiran Jones, aged 15, of Llanelli, was due to fish for Wales before becoming ill with kidney problems.
He underwent four operations, two of which were eight hours long, and missed out on representing Wales in Youth Fly-fishing.
Keiran and his father travelled to Cenarth last Saturday, and met with Harry Jackson of Teifi River Guides, to fish on the Lower Teifi.
Mr Jackson said: “While in hospital he said he always wanted to fish on the River Teifi. We contacted Keiran and his family to say that we would take him out fishing the river As soon as he was feeling strong enough following his operations.”
