Cardigan’s RNLI Atlantic 85 class lifeboat, Albatross, was launched on Tuesday afternoon to rescue a 17 ft vessel which had broken down 2.5 miles from Cardigan Island.
The boat had suffered engine failure and the two people on board used their mobile phone to call the local Coastguard for assistance.
The crew arrived on scene within 20 minutes and towed the boat to the pontoon at Patch where it was handed over to the Coastguard.
