Are you a past pupil of Cilgerran School? Perhaps your ancestors were from the village and you would like to know more about their school days. On Saturday the 27th September the school will open its doors between the hours of 10.00 – 5.00 p.m to hold the biggest exhibition that the village has ever seen. Local historian Heather Tomos, herself a past pupil at the school has collected photographs which amount to over 200 in total, together with copies of school log books and registers following the history of the school back to its beginning in 1865. In addition to this there will be also some photographs showing the life of the village over the years, and hard working local resident Mr Emyr Phillips, who was at one time also a teacher at the school will be displaying his collection of photographs, documents and memoribila of the Cardi Bach and photographs by Tom Mathias. It is hoped that as many as possible of past pupils are able to come along, not only to rekindle memories of childhood days, but to meet up with other pupils who they may not have seen for years. Entance fee is only £2.00 with light refreshment included. All proceeds of the day will go to the school
