Canolfan Enfys Teifi Integrated Children’s Centre, Cardigan, officially opened its new extension last week.

A celebration and official opening was held at the centre on September 3. Council Leader Councillor Ellen ap Gwynn opened the proceedings, with Councillor John Adams-Lewis, Ceredigion County Council chairman unveiling the new plaque and declaring the extension officially open.

Canolfan Enfys Teifi was the first of four Integrated Children’s Centre to open in Ceredigion. It first opened its doors to families in Cardigan and surrounding areas in 2006, providing a base for Cardigan’s Playscheme, Breakfast Club and After School Club, as well as Flying Start staff.

The centre has delivered a variety of support services and training opportunities for mothers and fathers, including Family Literacy and Numeracy programmes, Incredible Years courses, and Welsh courses.
