Llandysul based Nantgwynfaen Organic Farm has been selected as a top 10 finalist in the prestigious 2014 Soil Association Organic Awards.

The Bed and Breakfast, run by Ken and Amanda Edwards, has been selected as finalist in the organic places to stay category.

Nantgwynfaen is a 60 acre organic farm at Croeslan, Llandysul, where Ken and Amanda Edwards have lived with their three children for 16 years.

The B&B business thrives alongside the farm shop which specialises in local and organic food. Though the farm is rented out now, their own recipe sausages and tamburgers developed in their farming days continue to attract many visitors. The extensive menu in the B&B using almost all organic local ingredients is key to their success.

Amanda said: “We’re proud and delighted to be shortlisted for the 2014 Organic Awards and have our commitment to organic recognised in this way. We have wonderful feedback from our visitors and feel it is important to offer a sustainable way to holiday which ‘doesn’t cost the earth’. The more visitors we attract here means additional visitors to the Teifi Valley, which in turn supports the local economy.”
