A Farm Watch Scheme is being set up in the Ceredigion area with the assistance of Farmers Union Wales, National Farmers Wales and Farming Connect.
The first meeting will be held at 7.30pm on September 11, at the Llanina Arms, Llanarth. All welcome.
FarmWatch Schemes assist with reducing farmyard and rural household theft, helping and reassuring those who live in fear of crime, and encourage the farming community to be vigilent.
Farm Watch is free to join and will help improve communication between farmers and the police in order to reduce the opportunities for crime and vandalism, as well as farmyard and household theft, issues such as fly-tipping, illegal off-roading and livestock theft will be addressed by the scheme.
