An Abercych graduate has joined Wilkinson PR & Communications as it celebrates a fifth successful year with a move to larger offices and expanding its team.

The award-winning communications agency has moved from shared offices in Cardiff Bay to a dedicated space within the S4C media centre in Llanishen.

A number of significant client wins has resulted in the recruitment of Holly Jamieson to the new post of PR and events assistant.

Originally from Abercych, Welsh-speaker Holly graduated this summer from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a degree in events management. She has already gained event and social media campaign experience with a number of third sector and PR agency placements.

She will provide campaign support across the WPR’s expanding portfolio, with a focus on event activity and the development of a new youth awards programme. Holly’s appointment is supported by 3SC Cymru through Jobs Growth Wales.

John Wilkinson, managing director at WPR, said: “We have invested in this new role with support from 3SC Cymru and Jobs Growth Wales to allow my senior team to focus on campaign delivery and client development. Combined with our move to stand-alone offices within the S4C media centre, this is an exciting time for the business and signals a new phase in our growth.”

This summer has also seen a rebrand for the company, with the removal of the founders initials from the logo.

Mr Wilkinson said: “It’s a small thing, but many people still thought I was freelancing. The company is no longer about just me. Wilkinson PR & Communications is full service communications agency, with a talented team and huge experience. The addition of Holly means we are in an even stronger position.”
