A Tivy valley man is accused of common assault and criminal damage.
Gary David Saunders, aged 48, of Rhandir, Talgarreg, Llandysul, appeared before Aberystwyth magistrates on Wednesday.
He pleaded not guilty to charges of assaulting Thomas Hill and damaging the top box of his Nissan in Aberystwyth on June 29.
A trial date was listed for October 20, and Saunders was released on unconditional bail.
