A cheque for £1,000 was presented to Cardigan Cancer Care as part of the celebrations surrounding the purchase of the first home at Dol y Dintir, Cardigan.
Proud new home owner Mrs Mandy Connolly chose the charity as "one that is close to my heart".
The housing development is by Hawkesbury Properties Ltd who are now building the third phase at Dol y Dintir. Twenty houses have already been built, with a further 12 now being constructed as part of the 43-home scheme
The first three houses are due for completion in September of this year.
Hawkesbury Properties Ltd’s consultant architect Ian Arnott has been
working closely with their directors to design two new house types, that will
specifically appeal both to families and to those looking to downsize to a smaller
energy efficient home.
Garry Lingard and Edward Jenner, Hawkesbury’s directors, add:
‘’The commencement of the third phase of the development shows our
confidence in the recovery of the housing market in West Wales and particularly
in Cardigan itself’’.
