Pupils at Ysgol Uwchradd Aberteifi are celebrating some excellent results this week, with 87% of students achieving at least 5 Level 2 (GCSE) qualifications at grades A* - C, and 99% of students achieving the Level 1 threshold (at least 5 GCSEs at grades A*-G).

Headteacher Nicola James said "I congratulate all our students on their successes this year. The results are very pleasing, with some outstanding grades in many areas, and students achieving the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification (WBQ) at Intermediate and Foundation levels for the first time. This success is due to the hard work of our students and our teaching and support staff, and I thank them all for their commitment to ensuring the best outcomes for all our students. I would also like to thank parents and governors for their continued co-operation and support as we celebrate our students' achievements. We delight in the outstanding grades of our highest achievers, and we are especially proud of the efforts of our students with Additional Learning Needs in the Discovery and Hafan Centres, who all achieved a range of qualifications at Level 1 and 2".
