A Cardigan teenager has been given a conditional discharge after admitting Class B drug possession.
Jeremy Phoenix Shane Pendragon, aged 19, of 5 Queens Terrace, pleaded guilty to possession of 1.8 grams of cannabis, when he appeared before Aberystwyth magistrates on Wednesday.
The court heard that police could smell cannabis at Pendragon’s address, when they went to speak to him about another matter on July 26, and found the drug, with an estimated value of £20, when they searched the property.
Iestyn Davies, defending, said: “He occasional smokes cannabis to relax. It was a small amount found, of low value.”
Magistrates imposed a 12 month conditional discharge, and ordered Pendragon to pay £85 costs and a £15 victim surcharge.
A destruction order was made for the drugs.
The presiding magistrate said: “Be a good boy for the next 12 months, or you will find yourself back here.”
