A pupil from Ysgol y Preseli, Crymych Mari Llewelyn from Efailwen walked in the corridors of power in Cardiff Bay during a week working for Plaid Cymru Mid and West Assembly Member Simon Thomas.
The Ysgol y Preseli pupil worked in the Assembly Member’s offices in Cardiff Bay and Llanelli.
Mari Llewelyn said: “The experience has opened my eyes to the political world and has made me realise how important and how influential the role of politicians are in our daily lives.”
Party of Wales Shadow Education Minister Simon Thomas said: “I’d like to thank Mari for coming to work as part of my regional team. She helped with producing my annual report for constituents and wrote an essay on the proposal by the Welsh Government for a new M4 in the east. The Party of Wales believes it is important that young people take an interest in Welsh politics. “
