A man has died following an incident off the Newport coast yesterday evening.
Fishguard RNLI and inshore lifeboats, the Cardigan RNLI Atlantic inshore lifeboat, Fishguard coastguards, Preseli Sector Manager, police and a land ambulance were tasked to a report of a capsized sailing dinghy with three people on board off Newport at 6.35pm.
The male casualty, believed to be aged 63, was brought ashore, but pronounced dead by a doctor at the scene.
