Emergency services were called to assist a local teenager who got into difficulties while swimming across Cardigan estuary on Friday afternoon.
Cardigan RNLI lifeboat and coastguard teams, police and paramedics were tasked to the scene at 1.51pm, however, the 13 year-old managed to make it to shore himself.
He was taken to hospital by ambulance and checked for injuries as a precaution.
Both Cardigan inshore and all-weather lifeboats were called out again on Sunday evening, to recover a woman who had sprained her ankle on Cai Bach beach.
The woman was evacuated from the beach with the help of the RNLI crew.
