Ceredigion MP, Mark Williams visited the Curlew Weavers Woollen Mill near Rhydlewis, where he met owner Roger Poulson. The mill produces a wide range of woollen fabrics, garments and other products in tweed, flannel, dress materials and upholstery fabrics.
Mark Williams said:
“I have seen the products of Curlew at Ceredigion Craft Makers events for a number of years now. It was great to visit the mill and see the base where scouring, carding, spinning, weaving and sewing take place, as well as see the many excellent finely crafted products.
“This is a long established family firm with huge experience, and quite possibly the only mill in the UK specialising in the commissioning of all these processes. It is no surprise to hear that Roger Poulson and Curlew Weavers have won three Prince of Wales Awards: past customers have included the Wales Office, the QE2 and No 11 Downing Street.”
