The creation of an Aldi discount store in Newcastle Emlyn with around 30 new jobs will become that much closer next week when planning councillors consider an application from the supermarket giants.
Aldi plan to open a store at Castle Motors in Station Road, which was exclusively reported in the Tivy-Side at the beginning of the year.
The site already has planning consent obtained by Liddl some years ago but the company did not take up the option.
A spokesperson for Aldi said “We propose adapting the existing planning consent to meet our specific requirements.”
The planning application is to be considered by the planning committee of Carmarthenshire County Council on Thursday, August 14.
