A Coleg Ceredigion student was given a rare opportunity to attend one of the most prestigious events in recognition of her charity work.
India Harbrecht-Parker was invited to attend a garden party at Buckingham Place hosted by the Prince of Wales. The event was originally to be attended by the Duchess of Cambridge but Prince Charles stepped in at the last minute to ill health.
India, who has just completed her first year in Health and Care, was invited to attend in recognition for her many years service to charity as a volunteer at a charity shop in Aberaeron. The voluntary aspect is also plays a key part of her studies.
“It truly was an honour to be invited to this prestigious event,” noted India. “It isn’t every day you get invited to Buckingham Palace and to meet the Prince! It’s fantastic that people who devote their time to helping others are recognised in this way.”
