Cardigan’s La Fontana Gelataria and Espresso bar hosted a rare collection of classic Fiat 500’s on Saturday,July 26. The plucky owners of these baby Fiats stocked up on ice –cream and coffee on their way to Ireland for a two week tour.

A rare sight on UK roads nowadays, La Nuova Fiat 500 was introduced in 1957 and nearly four million were sold across the world by the time it was discontinued in 1975. The Fiat 500 Club was formed in 1992 and now welcomes owners of new Fiat 500s, www.fiat500club.org.uk.

La Fontana is celebrating its first birthday and is run by the two generations of the Gigante family, who can trace their roots back a little town in Tuscany called San Vincenzo, near the leaning tower of Pisa.
