One of Aberporth's favourite sons is to be honoured in the naming of the village's new Flying Start centre.
The purpose-built centre - on the site of the former ysgol feithrin caban - will be named Canolfan Tegryn after the late Rev Tegryn Davies.
Rev Davies played a large part in the formation of the Urdd movement in the village and has a plaque dedicated to his memory in the nearby village hall.
The new centre will be opened on November 13 in the presence of deputy minister for poverty Vaughan Gething.
The name was welcomed by local member Cllr Gethin James.
"It is nice to see that Rev Tegryn Davies will be acknowledged in this way," he said.
