Cardigan Traders have welcomed a £1k windfall for small businesses in Wales.
Every trader in Cardigan and other local towns should have received a Wales Retail Relief letter from the county council which offers a £1k relief on the rates bill for this financial year.
"This is very welcome news indeed," said Cardigan Traders chairman Keith Davies.
Mr Davies and his colleagues have spent the past three years calling for help for small traders, including meeting with deputy prime minister Nick Clegg, a trip to the Wales Office in London and three visits to the petitions committee in Cardiff.
"We have fought hard for this as it is so important for small towns," said Mr Davies.
He added that if any traders had not received the letter, they should contact him direct.
