Cylch Meithrin Cilgerran will hold a family fun day on the River Teifi, Cilgerran, on Saturday, July 19.

The main attraction will be a Duck Race starting at 1pm, with a first prize of£50.

There will also be plenty of stalls and attractions to keep everybody entertained including a raffle, tombola, face painting, cake stall, small car-boot area, refreshments and plenty of fun for the kids.

Cylch Meithrin Cilgerran has been running for 40 years and served generations of the village.

At present the group has 24 children, aged two to three and a half, who learn through the medium of Welsh, and are prepared for school life.

Funds are needed to secure the group’s future, which relies on donations.

Michelle Clarke said: “We desperately need to update our equipment and to supply the children with the necessary tools to learn. We have recently had a complete change of committee members and this caused a break in fund-raising, unfortunately funds have dipped to an all time low.

“The staff recently had to work for a short period without pay, this shows what strong feelings there are to keep this group going.”
