Cardigan Charity Fundraising Appeal held a successful sponsored charity horse fun ride on the 7th June in aid of Alzheimer’s Society in Ceredigion from the Crown Inn, Llwyndafydd.

Despite the promise of bad weather, the day was glorious with only a few showers, this did not dampen the upbeat spirit of the 12 riders that ventured the course, enjoying breathtaking views in open fields, going through quiet country lanes, woodland tracks, forestry and finishing with a paddle on Cwmtydu beach.

Refreshments were provided throughout the day as well as a stirrup cup prior to the start of the ride at the Crown Inn, Llwyndafydd. Monique, the landlady of the Crown Inn judged Ivor Wynn Jones, on Danny, to be the Best Turned Out.

Many thanks to Glyn Davies of Ciliau Farm for allowing the Cardigan Charity Fundraising Appeal for the use of his land, the Crown Inn for their hospitality and to Delyth Hutchins who lead the ride and designed the course.

The next event organized by the Cardigan Charity Fundraising Appeal is a Car Treasure Hunt on the 18th July from Cardigan Swimming Pool and another sponsored fun ride is due to take place on the 16th August in Penrhiwllan.
