An Adpar man, accused of assaulting a police officer, will stand trial this summer.
Patrick Keane, aged 50, of 3 Sussex House, pleaded not guilty to a charge of assaulting PC Leyton Phillips in the execution of his duty, when he appeared before Aberystwyth magistrates on Wednesday.
The incident is alleged to have taken place in Newcastle Emlyn on January 23.
A trial date was set for August 21, and Keane was released on unconditional bail until that date.
