A Ceredigion Council employee is to deny “being party” to the alleged theft of £62,000 from the authority.
Susan Crawford Edwards, aged 54, made her first appearance at Swansea crown court on Friday.
Her barrister, Ieuan Rees, said she would enter pleas of not guilty at a plea and case management hearing on September 5.
Judge Peter Heywood said a trial would take place early next year.
Edwards, of Clover Hill, Blaenffos, Boncath, is alleged to have taken the money whilst working at the council’s Cardigan Local Office.
She was granted bail until the September hearing.
