A Cardigan man has denied assaulting a police officer and being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
Aaron Nathaniel Simpson, aged 22, of 35 Maeshenffordd, appeared before Aberystwyth magistrates on Wednesday.
He entered not guilty pleas to assaulting officer Gemma Gladwin in the execution of her duty on May 17, and being drunk and disorderly at Pendre, Cardigan, on the same date.
A charge of failing to surrender was withdrawn by the prosecution service.
A trial date was listed for August 7, and Simpson was released on unconditional bail.
