Mantle Brewery, Cardigan Towns Real Ale producer is proud to announce its first award. Presented at the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) regional competition held within Ludlow Castle on the 9th May 2014, Dark Heart, their dark porter ale took the Bronze award in the speciality cask beer category. Brewery Owners, Ian & Domi Kimber are hugely proud of the award, the SIBA awards are a significant event in the calendar of Brewers. This competition was regional, encompassing the whole of Wales and the West of England, with some significant opposition. To win this after less than 9 months of trading is a real achievement, especially in what continues to be an industry of growing competitiveness. Mantle Brewery has always strived to deliver quality ales, and this award demonstrates that they are succeeding to do that.

Their range of ales, produced in the brewery on the Pentood Industrial Estate, continue to grow in popularity, favoured by discerning drinkers. As a result the brewery has also taken on a new Employee to help out in the brewery. The appointee started work with the brewery on the 2nd June 2014. This is seen as a great opportunity for him to learn a trade in sector that continues to grow throughout the country.

Mantle Brewery have given special thanks to all the local pubs that have tried their ales, especially those that have made it a regular feature on their bar, noting that the best place to enjoy real ale is direct from the cask, in your local pub.
