Community councillors are to buy 'children playing' signs in a bid to curb motorists speed in a residential lane in Blaenporth.
Cllr Colin Evans told this week's Aberporth community council meeting that parents had expressed concerns over the speed of vehicles coming down Lon yr Ysgol.
"There are ten kids living in houses along that lane and they are often out playing. I fear for their safety," he said.
Councillors agreed to fund private 'children playing' signs which will be placed on private land.
"Children's safety is paramount," said Cllr Anne McCreary.
