An errant dog owner who let their pet foul a village green space has been fined thanks to a sharp-eyed county councillor.
Cllr Gethin James was working on his house overlooking Aberporth lower welfare park when he saw a dog fouling on the grass.
He then saw the owner and noted where she lived.
He then rang the dog warden and within a few hours the culprit had received a fine notice.
"It proves that if you are prepared to stand up and report people then there will be results," he said.
He added he hoped his actions would encourage other people to take the same stance and act as a warning to people who let their dogs foul public areas.
