A special event will be held to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the first demolition of the turnpike trust toll-gate at Efailwen on May 13, 1839 by Rebeca's daughters.
The Rebeca Riots’ demolition of the gate at Efailwen will be relived on Tuesday, May 13 at 7pm.
Local historians will talk about the history and reason for the protests, and local school children from Ysgol Beca will sing a song about the protest 175 years ago.
The demolition of the gate will then allow access to Caffi Beca, where a concert will be held.
