Fire-fighters were called to an incident at the National Wool Museum, Drefach Felindre, on Wednesday evening.
The crew responded to an alarm, set off by smoke coming from electrics, which were then isolated.
A thermal imaging camera and ventilation fan were used to deal with the incident.
