There’s only days to go to nominate your Unsung Hero.

The popular annual award scheme celebrates Pembrokeshire County Council employees who go that extra mile for the public.

The deadline for nominations for this year’s award is Friday May 2.

Now in its 11th year, the Unsung Hero Award is presented to an individual Council employee who has demonstrated extraordinary commitment in the delivery of first class customer service.

It might be somebody working in a school, library or leisure centre, or a home carer, car park attendant or payment clerk.

So if you have experienced excellent customer service from a council employee then we would like to hear about it.

The winner of the Unsung Hero Award 2013 was Lisa Starkey, Fishguard Leisure Centre Duty Officer.

Nomination forms are available at www.pembrokeshire.gov.uk or from customer service centres, or by phoning Pembrokeshire County Council on 01437 764551.
