Organisers of the New Quay Urban Downhill Mountain Bike event recently presented a £300 cheque to the Wales Air Ambulance .
During last year's event money was raised in aid of Wales Air Ambulance by holding a raffle. The prize was a full set of race kit , kindly donated by "Royal Racing " An event spokesman said: "As the sport of downhill mountain bike racing is very extreme with many crashes, we felt that the Air Ambulance was where we wanted the money to go. One never know's when riders might need their service!"
Plans are afoot to make this year's unique event bigger and better, on November 1 and 2.
